CreateTheater New Works Festival and JK Productions present OCEAN IN A TEACUP, a spiritual quest musical based on a true story. This Original Musical Set in India runs as part of CreateTheater New Works Festival, from April 28 through May 7, 2022, at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036).

The Front Porch Arts Collective has announced its two-play 2022-2023 season, which includes Broadway hit Chicken & Biscuits and romantic comedy K-I-S-S-I-N-G.  Performances will begin in the fall of 2022, with one production taking the stage at the Wimberly Theatre in the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA in Boston's South End. 

Emmy-nominated writing team Michael Kooman and Christopher Dimond have released the world premiere recording of their song 'Chaos', performed by Ben Fankhauser (Newsies) with orchestrations by August Eriksmoen (Come From Away, Bright Star), is now available.

People's Light presents Hold These Truths, a solo play inspired by the true story of Gordon Hirabayashi, bringing back the entire team of the 2020 production that was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Playwrights Realm (Founding Artistic Director, Katherine Kovner; Producing Director, Roberta Pereira) presents Play on Words, a one-night live-streamed festival of short new plays that culminates an initiative in which donors get to have a hand in writing and creating work (March 28 at 7pm ET).

Pasadena Playhouse presents the West Coast premiere of Ann – written by and starring Holland Taylor and directed by Benjamin Endsley Klein from March 22 through April 24; the press opening is Saturday, March 26. 

Following its Broadway breakout in 2021, Chicken & Biscuits is now part of the Broadway Licensing collection for professional and amateur theaters. The original production premiered at the Queens Theatre in the Park in February 2020 before transferring to Broadway’s Circle in the Square Theater in the fall of 2021.

Slippery Rock University's Theatre Department is presenting the World Premiere musical 'Techies' by the award winning NYC based writing team of Sam Carner and Derek Gregor from November 18th-22nd. Set in Westside High School's theater department, TECHIES chronicles the war between the actors and the technical theater specialists, or 'techies,' for a foothold in the school's social ladder-even if it is the lowest rung.

Artremix Productions, a new multimedia and theater organization, is poised to premiere an online adaptation of 'Island Song,' a musical by Sam Carner and Derek Gregor, and developed with Marlo Hunter. “'sland Song' premiered at the Adirondack Theatre Festival in 2016. Artremix Productions’ adaptation, on the other hand, is the musical’s Philippine premiere, which follows previous productions in Ontario, New York City, London, Singapore, and Tokyo, among others.

Bristol Riverside Theatre (120 Radcliffe Street) kicks off its 35th Anniversary Season with the hilarious two-person musical murder myster Murder for Two, written by Joe Kinosian (Book and Music) and Kellen Blair (Book and Lyrics).

Miriam Weisfeld most recently served as Director of Artistic Development for the Tony-winning Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis. She assumes the position on Sept. 1, 2021 but is in Glens Falls Aug. 1-15 observing production of ATF's final show of the season, 'Traffic and Weather,' which opens Aug. 5.

He starred as Tony in the 2019 Broadway revival of West Side Story, and as Daniel in the 2017 revival of Once on This Island. He recently joined the cast of the upcoming Dear Evan Hansen feature film.

The Ivoryton Playhouse will open its doors for a 5 play season on July 8, 2021 now with the mask mandate removed as per new AEA recommendations. Covid-19 Safety Manager, Steve Phelan, says: 'We want to assure everyone that we will still be following stringent safety protocols including socially distanced seating, and no concessions will be sold,'

Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater will present Shipwrecked! An Entertainment—The Amazing Adventures of Louis de Rougemont (as Told by Himself) by Donald Margulies, directed by Daisy Walker and starring Rodney Witherspoon II, Jackie Davis, and Jackson Goldberg. Performances are June 30 – July 25 at 7:00 p.m.
