South Bend Civic Theatre will present A Streetcar Named Desire, March 31 through April 9 in the Wilson Theatre.

Streetcar roared onto Broadway in 1947 and, 70 years later, its impact still reverberates through the American theatre. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Streetcar is explosive, passionate, and heartrending.

This incendiary story pits the desperate needs of the fading Blanche DuBois against the raw passion of Stanley Kowalski, with Stella Kowalski trapped in the middle. With his signature poetic prose and psychological insight, Tennessee Williams' mighty play and troubled heroine unravel live on stage.

Aaron Nichols directs a cast of 11, including Scott Jackson, Alexandrea Rowell, Don Elliott, Anastasia Spalding, Curt Goodrich, Dawn Marie Hagerty, Anival Fausto, Tyler Miller, Nicole Wilder-Kocsis, Patrick M. Trimboli, and Lisa Blodgett.
