A first peek at the unveiling of WAITRESS: THE MUSICAL showstoppers!

Pop superstar Sara Bareilles sings original songs penned for her upcoming mainstage adaptation of the adorable indie comedy WAITRESS alongside Broadway regular Gavin Creel in a new series of photos captured at a special live concert earlier this week.

The American Repertory Theater shared photos via Facebook from the 2015 A.R.T. Gala where Bareilles and Creel performed selections from the score this week.

Additionally, Bareilles recently took to Twitter to share her excitement over the new project, amusingly writing, "Oh boy. My heart is soaked with excitement. Watching this musical start to take shape is insanely gratifying and precious. #pee".

Yet, the real question remains: does she want pie with that?!
