"Proud of Your Boy" was cut from Aladdin the movie due to an adjustment in the storyline. It is about Aladdin's dream to impress his unnamed mother. The song was restored in the 2014 Broadway musical.

Adam Jacobs has appeared on Broadway as Marius in Les Miserables and Simba in The Lion King. He also played the role of Sky in the 2nd National Tour of Mamma Mia! in 2002.

He has won 8 Academy Awards for various scores and songs, and a Tony Award for Best Original Score for Newsies.
