Tonight at 8:00 p.m. EDT, WNET's Great Performances will broadcast the New York Philharmonic's concert celebrating the 120th Anniversary of Carnegie Hall, which took place on May 5th. The program, conducted by Music Director Alan Gilbert, featured Dvo?ák's Carnival Overture; Beethoven's Triple Concerto with violinist Gil Shaham, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, and pianist Emanuel Ax; a selection of songs by Duke Ellington performed by four time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald; and Gershwin's An American in Paris.

The gala benefited Carnegie Hall's artistic and education programs and included a dinner-dance at The Plaza with the artists following the concert.
