Meet MasterChef Junior winner Alexander Weiss and Broadway stars on Tuesday, June 24 while supporting arts education!

Join Wingspan Arts on Tuesday, June 24 for A Taste of Conservatory, a fundraiser to benefit the Wingspan Arts Summer Theatre Conservatory from 6:00-8:30PM at the Sheen Center in downtown Manhattan.

The evening will begin with a cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres and a dessert provided and served by Alexander Weiss, winner of Masterchef Junior on Fox and a former Conservatory student. Alexander participated in the Summer Conservatory for three years, and was last seen as Shrek in our 2013 production of Shrek

Broadway Star Jenn Gambatese (Tarzan, All Shook Up, Hairspray), most recently seen as Maria in the Lyric Opera's production of The Sound of Music, will perform at the reception.

The reception will be followed by Stages, an original musical revue featuring past and present Conservatory students, including Conservatory Alumna and Broadway star Catherine Blades, as well as some of our wonderfully talented teaching artists and directors.

The Summer Theatre Conservatory is Wingspan Arts' flagship program. The tuition-free, pre-professional training program gives talented young people, ages 12-18, classroom and performance experience to advance their theatre studies. By offering tuition-free arts education, the Conservatory most fully exemplifies Wingspan Arts' mission by concentrating on the unique goals and skills of our students through a combination of theory, practice, and the focused attention of professional teaching artists. Proceeds from this event will underwrite summer 2014 activities

A Taste of Conservatory is Tuesday, June 24 from 6:00-8:30PM at the Sheen Center (18 Bleecker Street). Prices range from $50 (one performance ticket) to $5,000 (Marquee sponsor - 10 tickets). Preferred seating given to $125 ticket holders and above. Tickets are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Visit atasteofconservatory.wingspanarts.org for more info
