Kirmser Ponturo Group LLC (Fran Kirmser & Tony Ponturo) announce they have acquired the exclusive global, theatrical and movie rights, to the life story of World Heavyweight Champion Joe Louis for upcoming entertainment projects.

Kirmser and Ponturo will also serve as Executive Producers on the upcoming Legendary Pictures feature film Lombardi, based on the hit Broadway play about the life of renowned football coach Vince Lombardi. Produced by Kirmser Ponturo Group LLC and in association with the NFL, the play opened on Broadway in 2010 and was the longest running play of the season.

Kirmser Ponturo Group LLC is an incubator company that develops work at the crossroads of sports and entertainment and provides in-house marketing and consulting in both areas.

Directed by Tony Award nominee Thomas Kail, LOMBARDI brings the audience into the life and times of legendary Hall of Fame football coach Vince Lombardi, one of America's most inspirational and mercurial personalities. LOMBARDI is written by Academy Award winning playwright Eric Simonson and based on the best-selling biography When Pride Still Mattered: A Life of Vince Lombardi, by Pulitzer Prize winning author David Maraniss. The original cast featured Tony winner Judith Light, Dan Lauria Keith Nobbs, Bill Dawes, Robert Christopher Riley, and Chris Sullivan.
