Tonight, January 4th, 2014, the life and music of jazz great Frank Wess will be celebrated at Saint Peter's Church in New York City.

Musical Directors will be Jimmy Owens and Jerry Dodgion.

Participating musicians include: Jimmy Heath, Kenny Barron, Jimmy Owens, Jerry Dodgion, Joy Of Sax, Michael Weiss, and The Count Basie Orchestra, Directed by Scotty Barnhart, with special guests Monty Alexander and Butch Miles.

This memorial is being put together with the assistance and love of his two daughters Francine and Michelle and his wonderful partner, Sara Tsutsumi, and his dearest friends with the help of the Jazz Foundation of America with special thanks to Saint Peter's Church.
