The New York Times reports that Disney Cruise Line is casting a live shipboard show adapted from their mega-hit animated musical, "Frozen." The show will be directed by Sheryl Kaller, whose Broadway credits include MOTHERS AND SONS and NEXT FALL and choreographed by Josh Prince (BEAUTIFUL, SHREK).

This will be Disney's third live production based on the 2014 Oscar-winner for Best Animated Feature and Best Song (Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez's "Let It Go"). A Broadway-bound production, directed by Alex Timbers, has completed a developmental lab and is scheduled to arrive in New York in the spring of 2018 after a run at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts in August 2017.

The recently-opened "Frozen - Live at the Hyperion" at Anaheim's Disneyland Resort, plays up to five performances a day. More than 100 actors, dancers and puppeteers are involved. The open-ended run is directed Liesl Tommy, a Tony nominee for ECLIPSED.
