BroadwayWorld has learned that the great Broadway, film and television casting director Barry Moss has passed away.

Moss got his start as a director for Manhattan Theatre Club and MCC's Chamber Theatre series. He later met Julie Hughes, who was casting the national tour Hello, Dolly!, with whom he co-founded Hughes/Moss Casting in 1981.

Moss' extensive Broadway credits include: A Tale of Two Cities, Three Mo' Tenors, Souvenir, Little Women, King Hedley II, How to Succeed in Business, The Will Rogers Follies, Leader of the Pack, The Tap Dance Kid, Marilyn, Brothers, Oh, Brother!, My Fair Lady, Copperfield, Sophisticated Ladies, Onward Victoria, Brigadoon, The Suicide, Camelot, I Ought to Be in Pictures, Whose Life is it Anyway?, West Side Story, Filumena, Oklahoma! and many more.
