STAGE TUBE: A Touching Tribute to Broadway Casting Director Barry Moss

Broadway, film and television casting director Barry Moss passed away in Manhattan on June 17, 2014. He was 74. A video tribute, created by Denise Pence and 'Broadway: The Golden Age' film trilogy filmmaker Rick McKay, honored the legendary casting director at a Memorial Tribute held in Moss's honor in New York City today, September 29th. The 12-minute video tribute includes an interview with 50-year friend John Rubinstein, who is on the road in the new PIPPIN and could not attend, and some rare footage of Lucie Arnaz performing 'They're Playing Our Song,' both shot by McKay. Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) is excited to announce the first 30 of more than 40 companies that will be in attendance at the TRU 2013 Combined Audition Event on April 6th and 7th. Actors must register by Monday, March 25th to ensure an audition slot for this opportunity to be seen at this unique casting event. Representatives from both not-for-profit theater companies and commercial producers and production companies will be in attendance, as well as casting directors and agents. The companies have a wide range of casting needs and produce at all levels, union and nonunion, including off-Broadway and regional.

Early bird registration is $50 ($40 for AEA and TRU members) before March 5. From March 6 to registration closing on March 25, the fee is $75 ($65 for AEA and TRU members).
