KIDS IN THE BUSINESS, a new comedy written and directed by Todd Graff, will have an industry reading on Tuesday, June 17, featuring Andy Karl ("Rocky"), Jennifer Simard ("Disaster!"), Angela Grovey ("Joyful Noise"), Eden Duncan-Smith ("The Lion King"), Sam Poon ("Billy Elliot") and Sadie Sink ("Annie").

KIDS IN THE BUSINESS follows the intense rivalry that develops between two eleven year old actresses, who have been flown out to Los Angeles to test for the same lead role in a new, musical television series.

"If you cross 'Ruthless' with 'The War Of The Roses', you're about ten percent of the way there", says Graff.

Inspired by the real life Oakwood furnished apartment complex in Studio City, CA., where hundreds of child actors and their mothers converge every year for "pilot season", the play will feature original dance/pop songs by Ali Dee Theodore ("Cups" from "Pitch Perfect", Miley Cyrus, etc.)

Ex-child actor Todd Graff is the writer/director of the films, "Camp", "Joyful Noise" and "Bandslam", as well as director of the original workshop and world premiere production of Jason Robert Brown's musical, "13" at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. He was Tony nominated for his performance as Danny in the original production of "Baby".
