DANCING UNDER THE STARS Features Hot Society Orchestra, 11/5

Vintage ballroom dancing to the sweet sounds of The Hot Society Orchestra of Washington will be on tap when the McLean Community Center holds Dancing under the Stars. The dance will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5 in the Center's Community Hall. Advance sales admission is $20 per person, $10 for McLean tax district residents. Admission will be $20 per person at the door. The Center is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.
Novice and experienced dancers won't have to worry about being judged or voted off as they dance the night away to the smooth sounds of The Hot Society Orchestra of Washington. The band specializes in jazz, swing and Latin music from the 1920s through the1940s and features experienced local musicians and vocalists. A complementary dance lesson will be given by instructors from a local dance studio beginning at 7 p.m. Appetizers will be served and a wine cash bar will be operated by The Friends of the McLean Community Center, the event cosponsor.
