Blood, Sweat & T-Shirts at The Courtyard Theatre

When rent goes up, a serious side-hustle is required. Blood, Sweat & T-Shirts is a new immersive comedy experience written by Hedda Bird that follows three fashion graduates on a chaotic quest to survive London’s cost-of-living crisis — one T-shirt at a time.

Faced with eviction and zero savings, the trio launch a DIY clothing brand from their living room. Why wouldn’t they? They are creatives! This what they studied for, didn’t they?  Of course they can show the world how to do business ethically. But as pressure mounts, their side hustle spirals into a high-stakes rollercoaster of business mayhem – can their friendship survive? Can they remain true to their values?  The audience — cast as their friends, followers, and unpaid interns — are pulled into the action, helping (or hindering) the team at critical moments.

Blood, Sweat & T-Shirts blends satire, storytelling, and participatory theatre to explore the true cost of creativity under pressure.
