De toneelbewerking van Shirley Jackson's The Haunting of Hill House, bewerkt door Olivier- en BAFTA Award-winnares Stef Smith, heeft de volledige cast aangekondigd voorafgaand aan de wereldpremière. Martin Constantine regisseert Jasper Britton (Dr. Montague), Jemma Churchill (Mrs Montague), Sian Howard (Mrs Dudley), Sophie Lenglinger (Theo), Robin Morrissey (Luke) en Clancy Ryan (Eleanor).

De productie gaat in première bij Salisbury Playhouse op 11 september, gaat verder bij Richmond Theatre van 6 t/m 10 oktober, voordat het een UK-tour begint naar Theatre Clwyd, Theatre Royal Brighton, Palace Theatre Manchester, Liverpool Everyman en Playhouse, Royal Lyceum Theatre, en eindigt bij Cambridge Arts Theatre op 21 november.
Shirley Jackson's iconische roman wordt algemeen beschouwd als een van de beste werken in het bovennatuurlijke fictiegenre. Het werd later bewerkt tot de kritisch bejubelde Netflix-serie met dezelfde naam, die een nieuwe generatie kennis liet maken met Jacksons angstaanjagende meesterwerk.
