Towson University has over 150 years of experience creating opportunity; opening up more possibilities for more people and ensuring a future where everyone plays a role. The Department of Theatre Arts expands our students’ possibilities with a comprehensive exploration of theatre that includes emerging areas of practice, such as educational outreach and new work development. Students learn theatre by doing theatre in faculty and guest directed productions, as well as student-generated projects. Our Center for the Arts enhances student learning with state-of-the-art performance classrooms and technical shops, and four performance venues. Opportunity extends beyond the campus as well, with professional internships, community engagement, and international study.
