About the program
Theatre studied in a liberal arts context offers the student a way of exploring people, cultures, literature, design, the communication process, and many allied arts. The Theatre Department is designed to offer a balance between the varied artistic elements of theatre and an intellectual understanding of the diverse theoretical, historical, and cultural aspects of this art. Theatre students prepare for careers in theatre and other performance media, for further studies in theatre at the graduate level, or for the pursuit of careers in diverse fields outside of professional theatre.
