TheatreWorks Silicon Valley presents the Tony Award-winning musical The Bridges of Madison County, based on the 1992 bestselling novel by Robert James Waller about love both lost and found. Set amidst the cornfields of Iowa in 1965, this passionate musical follows the unexpected affair of a devoted Italian-born housewife and a roving National Geographic photographer set over four sensual, heart-stirring days. Brilliantly adapted by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwright Marsha Norman ('night Mother, The Secret Garden, The Color Purple) with music and lyrics by Tony Award winner Jason Robert Brown (Parade), it captured the 2014 Tony Award for Best Musical Score. The Bridges of Madison County, directed by TheatreWorks Artistic Director and founder Robert Kelley will be presented April 4 - 29, 2018 (opening night: April 7) at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, 500 Castro St., Mountain View. Stephen Sondheim, James Lapine and the original cast of Broadway's INTO THE WOODS have returned to the New York stage. The Tony-winning composer and members of the original company, including Bernadette Peters and Chip Zien, reunited yesterday, June 21, at the Brooklyn Academy of Music for an INTO THE WOODS reunion. The event was originally co-produced by Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, CA last year. Check out photos from inside the event below!

The National Theater Institute is committed to diverse theatrical and educational experiences. Therefore, two weeks of each semester are spent in-residence in one of the world's most prominent theater capitals -- the NTI Semester and NTI-Advanced Programs study in London -- while the National Music Theater Institute train in New York City. In both cities, students met with alumni of the National Theater Institute who shared their theatrical experience, NTI stories, professional advice, and insight into the various ways to make a life in the theater. Paper Mill Playhouse concludes its 75th Anniversary Season with America's favorite musical, GREASE. With book, music and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, Grease will be directed by Daniel Goldstein with original choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter. Additional songs are by John Farrar, Barry Gibb, Scott Simon and Louis St. Louis. Grease will play the Millburn, New Jersey, theater from May 28 through June 29, 2014. Broadway fell in love with Pamela Myers in 1970 when she introduced the now quintessential ode to New York City, "Another Hundred People," in the original cast of Stephen Sondheim's Company, in which she originated the role of Marta. New York audiences also know her as Lucy Van Pelt in Broadway's Snoopy!, and Cinderella's Stepmother in the 2002 revival of Into the Woods, among others.
