For the first time in more than a decade, Verdi’s romantic and political drama Aida returns to Lyric Opera of Chicago, March 9 to April 7, 2024. See photos from the production.

The music of Terence Blanchard has returned to Lyric Opera of Chicago with his first opera: Champion, an 'opera in jazz' inspired by the true story of boxer Emile Griffith, a professional boxer from the U.S. Virgin Islands who threw a fatal punch in the boxing ring in 1962. San Francisco Opera has released production photos of Francis Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelties (Dialogues des Carmélites) at the War Memorial Opera House, running October 15–30. Caroline H. Hume Music Director Eun Sun Kim conducts the San Francisco Opera Orchestra, Chorus and soloists in this powerful, 20th-century masterwork in the acclaimed production by French director Olivier Py. West Side Story opens on July 8th at Theatro Sao Pedro. A masterpiece by Bernstein & Sondheim, direction by Charles Moeller and Brazilian version by Claudio Botelho, the musical direction is by Claudio Cruz, who leads the Orquestra do Theatro Sao Pedro. The production also has a cast headed by Giulia Nadruz (Maria) and Beto Sargentelli (Tony)

Paper Mill Playhouse's A Jolly Holiday: Celebrating Disney's Broadway Hits just opened last night and is set to un through Sunday, January 2, 2022.

Disney’s Aladdin will reopen on Broadway tonight at the New Amsterdam Theatre. New production photos are available, featuring the show’s new Aladdin and Jasmine, Michael Maliakel and Shoba Narayan, along with returning cast member Michael James Scott as Genie.
