ChaShaMa held a kick-off party celebrating BroadwayHD, the premiere theater streaming service, at Anita's Way in Times Square.

As BroadwayWorld sadly reported last week, legendary Broadway director and producer Hal Prince passed away at 91 years of age after a brief illness, in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Starring Eline Porto and Beto Sargentelli, who also take on production alongside Lucas Mello, the musical The Last 5 Years written by Jason Robert Brown, arrives in Sao Paulo, for a short season. Directed by Joao Fonseca, musical direction by Thiago Gimenes and versions to Portuguese by Rafael Oliveira, the production, which relates in a different and special way the last years of the relationship lived by Cathy and Jamie, is a success in several countries and now opens in Brazil.

Be More Chill, the original musical with music and lyrics by Joe Iconis (NBC's 'Smash', The Black Suits, Broadway Bounty Hunter) and a book by Joe Tracz(The Lightning Thief, Netflix's 'Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events') will have its New York premiere production this summer. Ghostlight Records celebrated the release of PRINCE OF BROADWAY Original Broadway Cast Recording with an exclusive in-store event at Barnes & Noble on Friday, June 1. PRINCE OF BROADWAY is a musical celebration highlighting the extraordinary six-decade career of director and producer Hal Prince. Mr. Prince appeared at the event in conversation with three-time Tony winner Jason Robert Brown, who co-produced the album and provided new songs, arrangements, orchestration and music supervision for the show. In addition to a CD signing, members of the original cast performed musical highlights.

The quick-witted American actor and icon, Groucho Marx was a frequent visitor to New Hope and Bucks County. Now nearly 41 years after his death, Groucho makes a hilarious return to Bucks - this time in the form of award-winning actor Frank Ferrante in the global comedy hit, "An Evening with Groucho." The show is presented February 14 - 25 at Bucks County Playhouse as part of the 2018 Visiting Artists Series.

Toho Co., Ltd. presents the world premiere of a new production of William Shakespeare's romantic comedy AS YOU LIKE IT from the Tony Award-winning creative team of Michael Mayer and Tom Kitt, who will reunite after previous collaborations on American Idiot: The Musical on Broadway and Second Stage Theatre's Everyday Rapture, which opened in Tokyo on January 4, and plays through February 4, 2017.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) has staged Monty Python's Spamalot, the Tony Award winning musical comedy with book and lyrics by Eric Idle, music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle as the final show of its 2015-2016 season. The show is directed by Richard Ruiz. Performances will be held in the Harriet S. Jorgenson Theatre from April 21 - May 1, 2016. Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the success of the premiere concert reading of the first act of DreamWorks Theatricals new stage adaptation of The Prince of Egypt which was part of Bay Street Theater's 24th Annual Summer Gala which took place in Sag Harbor at the Long Wharf on July 11, 2015 to benefit Bay Street's educational and theatrical programs. ThePrince of Egypt features book by Philip LaZebnik (writer of Mulan, Pocahontas) and music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (composer of Wicked,Pippin, Godspell); both creators attended the Gala. Bay Street's Artistic Director Scott Schwartz directed the reading, Dominic Amendum was Musical Director, and casting was by Stewart/Whitley.

The Old Globe presents George Bernard Shaw's Arms and the Man, joining celebrated director Jessica Stone, who recently made her Globe debut with Christopher Durang's Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Shaw's romantic comedy, which continues the Globe's 80th Anniversary festivities as part of the Balboa Park Centennial Celebration, will run May 9 - June 14, 2015 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.
