Beautiful: The Carole King Musical Announced for Sydney - Video and Photos

Just yesterday, the company of Beautiful celebrated a milestone- two years on Broadway! Since opening on Broadway on January 12, 2014, Beautiful - The Carole King Musical, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter has broken all box office records at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, where it is now the highest grossing production in the theatre's history.  It recently passed the $100 million in grosses and is already the 27th highest grossing musical in Broadway history.  BroadwayWorld was there for the special day and you can check out photos below!

On November 23, 2015, Sing For Your Seniors hosted the latest in its series of Broadway Sessions with cast members from Beautiful: The Carole King Musical for the residents of The Lillian Booth Actors Home of The Actors Fund. The musical performance included songs of the performers' choosing as well of songs from BEAUTIFUL. Residents and their family, nurses, and staff enjoyed two one-hour sessions on different floors, as well as a meet-and-greet visit with the cast following the performances. Scroll down for photos from the event!

Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing announced that Abby Mueller has nabbed the title role in the First National Tour of Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, the smash hit musical about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter. Mueller's sister, Jessie Mueller, won the Tony Award in 2014 for Best Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of King in the show's Broadway production. Kennedy began performances on Saturday, March 7, succeeding Tony Award-winner Jessie Mueller, who played her final performance on Friday night. Award-winning Canadian actress Chilina Kennedy, who made her Broadway debut as 'Mary Magdalene' in Jesus Christ Superstar, has nabbed the title role in Beautiful-The Carole King Musical, the smash hit musical about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter. Kennedy begins performances on March 7, 2015, succeeding Tony Award-winner Jessie Mueller, who will play her final performance in Beautiful on March 6 at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 West 43rd Street). Producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing held a nationwide open casting call today for the most sought-after role on Broadway, the title role in Beautiful -The Carole King Musical, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter. Held at New York City's Ripley Grier Studios (520 Eighth Avenue) today, casting directors will also search nationally for Caroles and other cast members for the Broadway, touring and international productions of the smash hit musical.
