The touring production of THE LION KING now playing at the Providence Performing Arts Center is absolutely exceptional. One would be hard-pressed to find a finer or stronger assembly of actors, singers, and dancers than this remarkable company.

Broadway's award-winning best musical, The Lion King, welcomes Stephen Carlile as Scar beginning performances tonight, Tuesday, January 31st, 2017. Carlile makes his Broadway debut, having originated the role of Scar on the UK tour of The Lion King.

The Lion King teamed up with 'ESPN Sport Science' for an exclusive look behind the scenes at the physical and mental athleticism required to perform in the award-winning best musical 8 times a week. Disney's The Lion King concluded its second triumphant engagement in Dayton on Sunday, July 3 at the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center. The four-week return grossed over $5 million at the box office and entertained nearly 68,000 patrons during 32 performances. The award-winning musical's four-week premiere engagement in 2011 played a record-breaking run at The Schuster Center.
