The British Theatre Academy presents a charity gala performance of The Color Purple to raise money for young performers who cannot afford to train in performing arts. Recent performances have included The Secret Garden at The Ambassadors Theatre and Godspell at St Pauls Church, Covent Garden. This concert features a line-up of West End performers alongside a choir of children from the BTA.

British actor Earl Carpenter's start date in Cameron Mackintosh's new production ofClaude-Michel Schonberg & Alain Boublil'sLes Miserables in the role of Javert is tonight, August 15. Carpenter will play a limited engagement in LES MIZ through Sunday, October 3 during Will Swenson's previously announced hiatus from the production. The world premiere production of the brand new musical comedy Bullets Over Broadway, written by Woody Allen and based on the screenplay by Allen and Douglas McGrath for the 1994 film, will begin preview performances tomorrow, March 11 and officially open Thursday, April 10, 2014 at The St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street).
