Claybody Theatre is delighted to announce that this summer it will be presenting the world premiere of Deborah McAndrew’s (A Christmas Carol, Leeds Playhouse and Pride and Prejudice, Grosvenor Open Air Theatre) new stage adaptation with music of Arnold Bennett’s celebrated 1911 novel The Card.

On Saturday 21 March, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Chief Conductor, Vasily Petrenko will perform Mahler's Third Symphony with real church bells for the first time ever in the UK. Liverpool Philharmonic owns 14 church bells, and is the only British orchestra to have collection of this size.

Mint Theater Company Producing Artistic Director Jonathan Bank today announced that before Mint presets the World Premiere pairing of Chekhov/Tolstoy: Love Stories, adapted for the stage by Miles Malleson (playwright of the acclaimed Mint productions Conflict and Yours Unfaithfully), Mint will present a staged reading of Malleson's first full-length play Youth, for one night only on Monday October 28th at 7:30pm at Theater Row (410 West 42nd Street between 9th and Dyer Avenues). Carnegie Hall welcomes back two orchestras from the culturally rich city of Munich, Germany: Munich Philharmonic and Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra (BRSO) this fall. On Friday, October 25 at 8:00 p.m., Music Director Valery Gergiev leads the Munich Philharmonic in Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No 1. with Behzod Abduraimov and Bruckner's Symphony No. 7. The following evening, Saturday, October 26 at 8:00 p.m. they return with Leonidas Kavakos playing Brahms's Violin Concerto. Also on the program is Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5 and Jörg Widmann's Con brio.

Jack Heller directs Susan Priver (down-on-her-luck showgirl Myrtle in Kingdom of Earth, LA Weekly award-winning The Lover by Harold Pinter) as Blanche DuBois and Max E. Williams (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., numerous productions with Elephant Theatre Company) as Stanley Kowalski in a visiting production at the Odyssey Theatre presented by Dance On Productions in association with Linda Toliver and Gary Guidinger. Passions flare and cultures collide in the sultry streets of New Orleans beginning May 25, with performances continuing though July 7.

The innovative new-music ensemble The International Street Cannibals (ISC) presents Schoenberg DNA a concert of vocal and chamber works featuring the brilliant duo of pianist Conor Hanick and soprano Ariadne Greif, with award-winning violinist Anna Tsukervanik. Centered around Schoenberg's radical musical ideas, the program will trace an evolutionary trajectory starting from Beethoven and Schumann, to Alma Maria Schindler-Mahler, to the Second Viennese School with Alban Berg and Anton Webern, all the way to the music of the great Hungarian composer Gy rgy Kurtag. Hanick and Greif will traverse a repertoire of art songs spanning from 1825 to 1908, and Tsukervanik will join Hanick to perform works for violin and piano by Webern and Kurt g. The concert is presented by The International Street Cannibals (ISC) and is a creation of Ariadne Greif, Conor Hanick, and ISC's founder/director Dan Barrett.
