Review: NEXT TO NORMAL is Next to Perfection at SNAP! Productions
by Christine Swerczek - Apr 6, 2026

At first glance, Next to Normal is the quintessential domestic scenario.  We see a suburban family with a seemingly normal life in “Just Another Day.” Diana is the perfect wife, has the perfect husband (albeit he can be a bit boring,) and an angsty teenage daughter who feels invisible. It’s the “perfect, loving, family” dynamic.

Review: ANGELS IN AMERICA, PART ONE: MILLENNIUM APPROACHES at Theater West End
by Albert Gutierrez - Jan 18, 2026

While much of the dramatic weight of Angels in America undeniably stems from the specter of AIDS, it would do the play a huge disservice to reduce it to a story about disease alone. What Theater West End makes clear is that Kushner’s work is as much about identity, loss, and the human struggle to reconcile who we are deep down with who we present to the world.

The Broadway production of Ragtime was a glorious accomplishment, a riveting testament to the original American musical and to all that America itself could be. Review: SISTER ACT at Dr. Phillips Center For The Performing Arts

At its heart, Sister Act: The Musical is a celebration of sisterhood and the unexpected bonds formed in the most unlikely places. While Deloris Van Cartier begins her journey chasing fame, her time with the nuns reveals a deeper calling: not spiritual in the traditional sense, but rooted in connection, community, and self-worth.

Interview: Aaron Alon of THE CHOSEN ONES at Thunderclap Productions
by Brett Cullum - Aug 7, 2025

And I realized that this is a subject that I feel like we've stopped talking about, even though it's still a really big deal. The big national organization, Exodus, had been dissolved. And that's a really interesting story, actually, about how that ended. And they had so much more presence in the media when there was this big national group over it. They fragmented into all these different pieces.

Review: The McCallum Theatre Hosts an Intimate Evening with Kristin Chenoweth
by Gilmore Rizzo - Jan 29, 2024

From the moment her iconic voice could be heard singing a gentle ballad version of 'Que Sera Sera' from off-stage the audience could feel that familiar warmth of authenticity fill the entire theatre.  A friend, an ally, a spiritual powerhouse of talent was about to enter. When the gorgeous 4'11' frame dressed in a navy blue sequin knee-length dress, and silver three-inch bejeweled platform heels walked into the spotlight she was greeted by thunderous applause. With every word she sang of the 1956 Doris Day hit it felt like a large invisible hand reached out and captured all 1,127 people in attendance; we gladly remained there for the duration of the evening.

by Da Young Leem - Jan 11, 2024

As a South Korean theatregoer living in South Korea, I have always been interested in artists of Asian nationalities pursuing their artistic careers on Broadway. Whenever I heard more and more stories of artists of foreign nationalities who had already coursed amazing paths with their professional careers, I felt more connected to Broadway and American culture in general, even though I have been living in Korea for most of my life.
