Valentine's Day is a few weeks away, and if you're still searching for a fun date idea, Overture Center has you covered! We are reclaiming the silent film heritage of the Capitol Theater with our silent film series, Duck Soup Cinema, featuring “Her Wild Oat,” a romantic comedy, on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The show Tarsila, a Brasileira will address Tarsila's life, work and influence on Brazilian culture. With book and lyrics by Anna Toledo and Jose Possi Neto, who also directs, the production has Claudia Raia as the protagonist and producer alongside Jarbas Homem de Mello, who plays Oswald de Andrade.

Four women writers of the Harlem Renaissance meet in 'Telling Tales Out of School' by Wesley Brown, directed by Woodie King, Jr. at Castillo Theatre/ASP. Funny Girl gets a Brazilian production directed by Barchilon, starring Giulia Nadruz and Eriberto Leao as protagonists. With score by J. Styne, and lyrics by B. Merrill, the semi-biographical plot is based on the life and career of comedian and Broadway star Fanny Brice, featuring her stormy relationship with entrepreneur and gambler Nick Arnstein.
