California Symphony and Music Director Donato Cabrera announced a dazzling 2023-24 season celebrating trailblazing composers and artists who have pushed boundaries and forged new paths.

BACK TO BACH will feature Anita Tomasevich (piano) and Olivera Rialas (violin) at Agrovino Wine Bar Lofou. The performance is on Thursday 23 March at 8pm.

Lincoln Center Theater has announced that Andrew Burnap will be Arthur, Phillipa Soo will be Guenevere, and Jordan Donica will be Lancelot Du Lac in its new version of Lerner & Loewe's Camelot, a fresh take on the classic tale.

Casting has been announced for the UK and Ireland tour of Bartlett Sher's critically acclaimed and multi award-winning production of Lerner & Loewe's much loved MY FAIR LADY, which comes to Birmingham Hippodrome from Wednesday 8 March – Sunday 26 March 2023.

Creating an ambitious odyssey of time travel based on three short stories from Tom Hanks's collection 'Uncommon Type' sounds like an intriguing idea ... on paper. The challenge is how to transfer it effectively from page to stage. In its current form, it feels more like a workshop than a ready-for-prime-time production.

Actor’s Express will continue its 34th season with a production of Desire Under the Elms, a landmark American play by Eugene O’Neill, American playwright and Nobel laureate in literature. Performances run August 6-28, 2022.

​​​​​​Berkshire Theatre Group has announced casting for shows in BTG’s Late Summer 2022 Season. The full season will feature B.R.O.K.E.N code B.I.R.D switching, a world premiere play and an award recipient of the GRANTS FOR ARTS PROJECTS from the National Endowment for the Arts; Once, a Tony Award-winning musical; Songs For a New World, the first musical by a Tony Award winner; Dracula, a classic gothic tale of horrors; and Edward Albee's Seascape, a Pulitzer Prize-winning play. 

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts announced that the North American tour of Lincoln Center Theater’s critically acclaimed production of Lerner & Loewe’s MY FAIR LADY is coming as a part of its 2021/2022 Kravis On Broadway season.  Directed by Bartlett Sher, the North American tour will play the Kravis Center from April 19 – 24.

Next season, Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of André Bishop) will bring the world of Lerner & Loewe’s CAMELOT to vibrant life once again when it produces a new version of the classic tale, reimagined for the 21st century. Featuring a book by Academy and Emmy Award winning writer Aaron Sorkin, based on the original book by Alan Jay Lerner, and direction by Bartlett Sher, Lerner & Loewe’s CAMELOT is scheduled to begin performances on Thursday, November 3 and open on Thursday, December 8 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater (150 West 65 Street).

Both a celebration and a call to action, Expand the Canon demands space in the classical canon for more diverse playwrights, many of whom were underproduced or utterly un-produced in their lifetimes. Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre calls upon the national and international theater community to expand its definition of classical theater and include these brilliant writers and artists in their production seasons, publications, classrooms, and beyond.

CMS'sa??50th anniversarya??seasona??will welcome spring with programs that look back and look forward.  On April 3, Mozart's groundbreakinga??Piano Quartet in G minor, composed by the genius who invented the piano-violin-viola-cello quartet, shows how this new combination of instruments gave an opportunity for expressiveness that would become more pronounced in the Romantic age.  The piece is combined with a piano quartet and a quintet that follow in the next hundred years a?" one by Mendelssohn and one by Strauss. 

The a?oeCurse of the Nintha?? is always a myth in the history of classical music - a ninth symphony seems to be destined as the last of a composer's life. The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil) and Music Director Jaap van Zweden will perform two a?oeTentha?? symphonies: Mahler's Symphony no. 10 and Shostakovich's Symphony no. 10. Both were written during a time of emotional turmoil for their composers, resulting in two powerful and emotionally charged symphonies. Two big symphonies in the evening of 13 & 14 December (Friday & Saturday) in the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Concert Hall, don't miss it!

Actress Fay McKenzie Waldman passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of April 16th at the age of 101. She was born February 19, 1918 into a show business family where she was the youngest of two sisters and an actress cousin, and made her screen debut at only ten weeks old in "Station Content" (1918) in which she was carried in the arms of Gloria Swanson. Her parents, Eva & Bob "Pops" McKenzie were already veteran performers and apparently wanted their daughter to get an early start in films. She nearly stole the show from Oliver Hardy as "the baby" in the Alice Howell short "Distilled Love" (filmed in 1918 but released two years later). By the time she was six, Fay was considered an old hand, having played diverse parts in her father's stock company. Among her early films was the 1924 Photoplay Medal Winner, "The Dramatic Life of Abraham Lincoln." 

Pianist Kirill Gerstein has long championed the music of Ferruccio Busoni (1866–1924), and this spring marks his most ambitious engagement with the composer's work—a live recording of Busoni's monumental Piano Concerto with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and men of the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, conducted by Sakari Oramo. The album, whose ties to Boston also extend to Mr. Gerstein and the composer himself, is released by Myrios Classics digitally on Friday, March 1 and on disc in North America on Friday, March 15. On Monday, March 4 at 6:30pm the medieval court of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table will come to life on the stage of the Vivian Beaumont Theater when Lin-Manuel Miranda stars as King Arthur in Lerner & Loewe's CAMELOT, directed by Bartlett Sher, for a one-night-only concert event to benefit Lincoln Center Theater.  He will be joined by Solea Pfeiffer as Guenevere, Jordan Donica as Sir Lancelot, Dakin Matthews as Merlyn, Ruthie Ann Miles as Nimue, Ethan Slater as Mordred, Julie White as Morgan Le Fey, and Jenn Colella, Jason Danieley, and Bonnie Milligan as three of the Knights of the Round Table.   Andy & Betsy Kenny Lack, Brooke & Daniel Neidich, and Caryn Zucker are the Benefit Co-Chairs.  Proceeds from the evening will support Lincoln Center Theater's productions and education programs.

The Sylvan Winds announce the final concert of the 2018 Spring Season celebrating music, art and history.
