If you can’t celebrate Thanksgiving with family this holiday season, spend your time with HBO Max. From Thanksgiving-themed TV episodes to cherished blockbuster hits, there’s plenty of A-list content for you to gobble up this Turkey Day. 

At 7:30 PM EDT on Friday October 16, the Hangar Theatre Company will present the virtual presentation, The Inferior Sex, by Jacqueline E. Lawton, directed by Cynthia Henderson. Without the possibility of live events at the theatre this fall due to COVID-19, the Hangar offers additional off-season virtual programming to continue carrying out their mission while sharing meaningful and resonant stories with the community.

In 2019 Colorado Balleta??s Artistic Director Gil Boggs promoted Francisco Estevez to principal dancer, right before the company premiered Septime Webrea??s The Wizard of Oz. His promotion came after hard work, dedication to his artistry and battles with two forms of cancer. Despite the odds and challenges, he persevered and achieved great success.

Allen MacInnis has announced that he will step down as Artistic Director of Toronto's Young People's Theatre (YPT) at the end of the 2020.21 season, after 19 outstanding years. He is the longest-serving Artistic Director in the theatre's 54-year history as North America's oldest a?" and Canada's largest a?" professional producer and presenter of theatre for young audiences.

Full casting has been announced for the 10th anniversary revival of Bruce Norris' seminal play Clybourne Park. Oliver Kaderbhai directs Alisha Bailey (Francine/Lena), Maddy Hill (Betsy/Lindsey), Andrew Langtree (Karl/Steve), and Richard Lintern (Russ/Dan), who join the previously announced Michael Fox (Jim/Tom), Imogen Stubbs (Bev/Kathy) and Eric Underwood (Albert/Kevin). The Kwanzaa Film Festival presents a special Martin Luther King Jr. Day program, themed 'A Kwanzaa Response to a Hanukkah Tragedy' with a program that focuses on African American-Jewish Relations. The feature presentation is this year's 'Best Film' winner Soul Doctor - the Broadway movie-musical about the life of the 'rock star' rabbi Shlomo Carlbach and his history shaping relationship with music icon Nina Simone. The film will be shown on Monday, January 20th at 4pm at AMC Magic Johnson Harlem (2309 Frederick Douglas Blvd.) as part of their Gala Awards evening.

The Muny announced today the directors, choreographers and music directors for its 2020 season, which opens June 15 with Kander and Ebb's internationally-acclaimed Chicago.
