Based on an inspiring true story, “THE SOUND OF MUSIC” is one of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s most beloved musicals. Set in Austria on the brink of WWII, Maria a postulant, proves too high-spirited for the religious life and is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern Captain.

Production Mélodie Inc. has announced that the musical La mélodie du bonheur will also be presented in English in Montreal. This new version of the show is already proving to be very popular, with more than 10,000 tickets sold in only a few weeks, so 6 English performances are being added to the run at Théâtre St-Denis, which will begin on December 3, 2022.

At last night's Met Gala, Lin-Manuel Miranda revealed that he is teaming up with Andrew Lloyd Webber for a new project this summer. The pair will work together on something for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, set to take place in June. Miranda said Webber gave him a call ahead of the event asking him to collaborate, however no further details have been revealed.
