La MaMa presents the world premiere of Messiah, a new play written and directed by Nia O. Witherspoon. Messiahis a play about the legacy of the Panthers in the age of crack, where a scratch at a DJ booth incites a replay of the past, an action that interrogates generations of violence on black, queer bodies.

'Too Heavy for Your Pocket' is now on stage at George Street Playhouse (GSP) through May 19. It enjoys the superb direction of LA Williams and features a marvelous four-person cast that brings an important and moving story to life.

Dear Evan Hansen comes to Cincinnati's Aronoff Center April 30 - May 12 as a part of Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Cincinnati's season presented by TriHealth. The Tony Award-winning musical, which opened at the historic Royal Alexandra Theatre on March 28, 2019 and was originally on sale through June 30, has been extended due to popular demand.  A new block of 119,424 tickets, July 2 - September 29, are now on sale.

Blumenthal Performing Arts announced today that the First National Tour of Dear Evan Hansen broke the box office record for the highest-grossing week of an eight-performance engagement at Belk Theater. The production grossed $1,595,600 during the show's March 19-24, 2019 engagement.

Broadway In Boston announced today that individual tickets for the Boston premiere of DEAR EVAN HANSEN will go on sale Sunday, March 24, 2019. Dear Evan Hansen will play the Citizens Bank Opera House July 10 - August 4 as part of the 2018-2019 Lexus Broadway In Boston Season.

'Ain't Too Proud - The Life and Times of The Temptations' opened March 21, at Broadway's legendary Imperial Theatre. However, many fans of the Temptations music may not know the group's long and complicated history.
