Playwrights Horizons today announced its 2022–2023 season. Brought together amidst the easing of a reality-altering pandemic —during which desire for a “return to normal” began to feel at once futile and shortsighted—the lineup consists of five works that consider and radically challenge the very idea of normalcy.

For Thursday evening’s performance of Frozen the Musical the crowd was buzzing, little girls and women of all ages appeared in Elsa and Anna dresses, and some were carrying Olafs by their side in anticipation of a magical trip to the fictional Arendelle. Like many of us immersed in pop culture and especially here in the Sunshine State where Disney makes Central Florida a primary vacation destination, the magic of Frozen has appeared in our lives in some form or fashion over the course of the last 8-9 years. Since its release in November of 2013, the Disney film Frozen has captivated audiences and families of all ages. From its hit musical numbers to the lovable characters Disney once again created something for everyone. In 2019 Disney released a sequel to the behemoth film and added yet another magical adventure to Arendelle with the release of Frozen 2. Led by an all-star cast of Broadway Legends from Idina Menzel and Jonathan Groff to film actress Kristen Bell, Frozen and Frozen 2 warmed even the coldest of hearts and the world of Disney animation has never been the same since, and for that, we are forever thankful.

Today the Seattle Symphony announced its 2022/2023 season, which features a wide range of repertoire across its full series offerings and an exciting lineup of acclaimed guest artists and conductors joining the orchestra from around the world.

Artisan Center Theater will present THE WIZARD OF OZ at its 195 seat Main Stage facility. The theater is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst, TX. The show runs Friday, February 18, 2022 through Saturday, March 19, 2022.

This creative adventure, which will take place at the company's new studio in Lawrenceville (212 45th St.) will ignite feelings of joy and wonderment to momentarily let habits, responsibilities, grocery shopping, middle school assignments, old friend drama, dirty laundry, and bad coffee melt away. The piece explores how everyday life may get lost in the destination, but there's beauty in the journey.

This December, NYCCT will stream a filmed production of their hit holiday show, My First Nutcracker. Recorded live at Theatre Row, My First Nutcracker tells the story of Clara and the Prince as they travel to a magical kingdom filled with delicious treats, dancing flowers, and a pesky mouse king.

FROZEN is a fun and sparkly production to ring in the holiday season, and this touring cast is first-rate. If all the little Annas and Elsas in the audience on opening night were any indication, it’s also a great show to introduce young theatergoers to musicals. And it’s enjoyable for the young at heart, too!

The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra will present a lineup of special holiday performances from the end of November throughout December in multiple venues across Central Florida. This includes both free and ticketed performances for the whole family, celebrating all the magic the holiday season has to offer.

The Paley Center for Media announced today its highly anticipated Grand Reopening with the return of its classic holiday extravaganza, PaleyLand, beginning December 4, 2021. 

Sadler’s Wells has announced that Ballo Arthur Pita’s The Little Match Girl and Second Hand Dance’s Night Tree Films will be available on Sadler’s Wells Digital Stage for the festive season.

Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall is making the season merry and bright with the return of Mystic Falls Park's winter wonderland display, featuring festive décor, more than 26,000 points of light and the return of its holiday laser light show. The holiday attraction can be enjoyed starting at sundown on Wednesday, November 24 through Saturday, January 1, 2022.
