Today, (Friday, April 29th) Newly formed LA-based duo The Monroes, comprised of Molly Kate Kestner and Brock Monroe, released the single and accompanying music video for “Better Half of Me” out now on all streaming platforms. Kestner is best known for her viral hit “His Daughter,” which gained her worldwide attention in 2014.

After two years of delayed or canceled shows, zoom auditions, and virtual casting, Musical Theatre West will hold the first live, in person auditions of their new season the week of May 10 for their upcoming production of Grease. Port Jefferson’s Theatre Three indeed has a hit with their current offering The Marvelous Wonderettes. Running through March 26th, the adorable production is superbly directed by Long Island theatre vet Linda May. This show hasn’t been on Broadway, per se, but it did have two off-Broadway runs in 2008 and 2016 well as inspiring several spin-offs. There have been many local productions of this show and it’s easy to understand why: it is a fun, nostalgic show.
