MAC and Bistro Award winner Dawn Derowpresents Gypsy in My Soul: the Songs of Eydie Gormé on Saturday, March 14 at 9:30 PM at the Beach Cafe. Often forgotten among the American women vocalists of the 20th century, Eydie Gormé is one that Derow doesn't want cabaret audiences to forget. During the 1950s through the 1970s she was one of this country's most admired yet underrated women singers. Derow will also welcome some surprising guest vocalists, with music director Ian Herman at the piano.

Boston Symphony Orchestra and Andris Nelsons Will Bring LADY MACBETH OF MTSENSK to Carnegie Hall in 2021

As part of Carnegie Hall's 2020-2021 season, announced on January 28, the Boston Symphony Orchestra will perform three programs on October 26, 2020, and April 14 and 15, 2021, led by BSO Music Director Andris Nelsons. These programs will also be featured in the BSO's 2020-2021 season at Symphony Hall in Boston. Mr. Nelsons and the BSO will announce complete details of the 2020-21 season in April.

At Birdland Jazz Club, catch the iconic Lionel Hampton Big Band Featuring Jason Marsalis, current GRAMMY nominee Catherine Russell, the Birdland debut of AGUAS Trio with Omar Sosa, Yilian Cañizares and Gustavo Ovalles, and iconic vocalist Jane Monheit. Internationally recognized trumpeter Rachel Therrien, the Seth Weaver Big Band, and The Voice contestant Melinda Rose Rodriguez will also be performing upstairs. 

Orchestra Of St. Luke's Has Announces Details Of Its Second Bach Festival

Orchestra of St. Luke's (OSL) today announced detailed programming for the second annual OSL Bach Festival, spanning three weeks from June 9-30, 2020, with concerts and masterclasses across four venues in Manhattan-including three orchestral concerts at Carnegie Hall-and featuring guest artists cellist Pieter Wispelwey, harpsichordist Jean Rondeau, and soprano Amanda Forsythe. The OSL Bach Festival was launched last June to great success as part of the first season of esteemed Baroque and Classical Music specialist Bernard Labadie as OSL Principal Conductor.

As the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth approaches, the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts presents Dinnerstein/Haimovitz:  Beethoven/Glass.  Esteemed pianist Simone Dinnerstein and acclaimed cellist Matt Haimovitz perform a musical celebration pairing the legendary composer's works with one of contemporary music's most influential composers a?" Philip Glass a?" on Thursday, January 9, 2020, 7:30 pm, in the Bram Goldsmith Theater at The Wallis.
