Smithsonian Channel continues putting the color back into history, restoring it to life with the return of AMERICA IN COLOR. Season two dives even deeper into historical archives, private collections and home movies, digitizing over 23 miles of footage, in search of the people, places and moments – big and small – that helped define the 20th century. Through rare imagery of the birth of American traditions like the Girl Scouts and the first Indianapolis 500 to in-game footage of the infamous 1919 Black Sox World Series and even the legendary Rockefeller family's own home movies, the series continues to use startlingly detailed restoration and colorization to bridge the decades and present history as it was lived – in color.  Building on the decade-by-decade approach of season one, season two captures the country's explosive transformation: the men and women who drove it, its impact on the land and society at large, and the birth of a mass culture that we still recognize today. From the Golden Age of Hollywood to the Wild West and organized crime, the new season explores some of the most significant moments in American history, now in color for the first time. AMERICA IN COLOR returns Sunday, November 18 at 8 PM ET/PT.

Based on the Academy Award winning film, Finding Neverland is the timeless story behind one of the world's most beloved characters - Peter Pan - and how he was born from the sheer power of J.M. Barrie's imagination.  With "pixie-dusted perfection" (Entertainment Weekly), Finding Neverland follows the playwright and his introduction to four young brothers and their beautiful widowed mother. Spellbound by the boys' enchanting make-believe adventures, he sets out to write a play-and his classic tale springs to life.

The Mississippi Museum of Art (MMA) has been awarded a $275,000 grant by the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). The grant was given in support of the MMA's reinstallation of its permanent collection and the creation of accompanying public programming and publications that focus on the art and stories of Mississippi. The reinstalled permanent collection is scheduled to open on Saturday, June 29, 2019.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of HAIR - The American Tribal Love-rock Musical, Michael Butler, the Broadway producer who brought the musical to its greatest fame and popularity, announces his new production with performances April 20 to June 30 (opening night is April 29) at the newly renovated Palace Theatre at 630 South Broadway, DTLA (Downtown Los Angeles).

November programming has been announced at City Winery Chicago. The Met's first new production since 1969 of Strauss's rich, romantic masterpiece stars Renée Fleming in one of her signature roles as the Marschallin, opposite El?na Garan?a as Octavian, the impulsive young title character, on Great Performances
