City Winery Chicago Announces Dave Davies, Herb Alpert and More

City Winery Chicago, 1200 W. Randolph Street, announces Dave Davies of renowned British rock band The Kinks, Grammy Award-winning jazz duo Herb Alpert & Lani Hall, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons tribute band The Four C Notes, folk-rock singer-songwriter Dan Tedesco, and more. Originally from the western suburbs of Chicago and now based in Des Moines, Iowa, alt-folk rock singer-songwriter Dan Tedesco makes his City Winery debut. The music of self-produced Tedesco is guitar-driven. He draws from a wide variety of musical influences ranging from Bob Dylan to Radiohead.

The Four C Notes: Recreating the Music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons

Sunday, February 24; 2:30 p.m.


The Four C Notes is the Midwest's ONLY tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and features John Michael Coppola from Chicago's "Jersey Boys" performing the material from this iconic group. This is not a 'hits of the sixties' show but 100% all Frankie Valli and Four Seasons tribute.

Dave Davies is a founding member of British rock band The Kinks, best known for hits such as "You've Really Got Me" and "Death of A Clown." After the band split up in 1996, Davies went on to have a successful solo career as a guitarist and songwriter. Davies released his latest LP Open Road in 2017.

Herb Alpert & Lani Hall

Musician, producer, artist, and philanthropist, Herb Alpert is a man with a profound passion. A legendary trumpet player, Alpert's extraordinary musicianship has earned him five number one hits, nine Grammy Awards, the latest from his 2014 album, Steppin' Out, 15 Gold albums, 14 Platinum albums and has sold over 72 million records. Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass propelled his sound into the pop music limelight, at one point outselling the Beatles two to one. In all, Alpert has recorded over 30 albums and produced for many other artists, including Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66, Stan Getz, Michel Colombier and Gato Barbieri. At City Winery, he performs with his wife, Grammy Award-winning vocalist and producer Lani Hall, with whom he has been touring since 2006.

City Winery also announces Vanya Liya will open for The Expendables on Nov. 19 and Caroline Spence will open for Ron Pope on Mar. 8.

All City Winery Chicago events are open to all ages and start at 8 p.m., unless noted.

Opened in 2012, City Winery Chicago is a fully operational winery, restaurant with outdoor patio, concert hall and private event space located in the heart of the West Loop at 1200 W. Randolph, in the historic urban Fulton Market district. Once a refrigerated food distribution warehouse, the 1911 building has been transformed into a contemporary 33,000 square foot HAVEN for those passionate about wine, music and culinary arts. The décor evokes the romance of being in wine country, from the exposed stainless steel fermenting tanks and French oak barrels, to the aroma of fermenting grapes. The West Loop's only fully operational winery has produced dozens of in-house wines sourced from vineyards in California, Oregon, Washington, Argentina and Chile, including a Wine Enthusiast 92-point 2015 Verna's Vineyard Reserve Pinot Noir.
