This sweeping musical is complete with a cast and creative team of Broadway veterans including Kirsten Scott, Jamie LaVerdiere, Darnell Abraham, Lindsay Roberts, Tony-Award nominee Josh Young, Director Seth Sklar-Heyn and Set and Projection Designer Tim Mackabee. BWW Review: THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME at Aurora Theatre And Theatrical Outfit

When Aurora Theatre announced that its 22nd season would open with a production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame, a production offered in partnership with Theatrical Outfit, screams of giddy delight could be heard in the Broadway-themed living rooms of theatre nerds all across Atlanta. The 2014 tuner, showcasing the only collaboration between musical theatre legends Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz, seemed destined for Broadway, but, despite the mostly favorable reviews coming out of its premiere at the La Jolla Playhouse and its subsequent transfer to the Papermill Playhouse, a prime destination for shows on the Broadway fast-track, the production just never made it to the Great White Way. Given that disappointing history, it's safe to say that theatergoers' appetities have been whetted for regional premieres of this highly-anticipated musical, and this powerful production, with Justin Anderson at the helm, definitely satisfies those cravings. MURDER FOR TWO Opens at Saint Michael's Playhouse

Saint Michael's Playhouse Producing Artistic Director Chuck Tobin today announced the July 19 opening of the Off-Broadway hit Murder for Two at Saint Michael's Playhouse. Murder for Two features book and music by Joe Kinosian, book and lyrics by Kellen Blair and stars Noel Carey and Jeremiah Ginn, both from Murder for Two's national tour. Murder for Two creative team is led by director Jeremy Scott Lapp with choreography by Wendy Seyb, scenic design by John Paul Devlin, costume design by Andrea Lauer, lighting design Anthony Pellecchia, and sound design by Jill BC DuBoff. Hillbarn Theatre, the Peninsula's premier theatre company, kicks off its 2017-18 season with the Peninsula premiere of the epic new musical, The Hunchback of Notre Dame (August 24-September 10, 2017). Based on the Victor Hugo novel and songs from the Disney animated feature, The Hunchback of Notre Dame begins as the bells of Notre Dame resound through the famed cathedral in 15th-century Paris. Quasimodo, the deformed bell-ringer who longs to be "Out There," observes all of Paris reveling in the Feast of Fools. Held captive by his devious caretaker, the archdeacon Dom Claude Frollo, he escapes for the day and joins the boisterous crowd, only to be treated cruelly by all but the beautiful gypsy, Esmeralda.
