Two of Jacksonville’s most prominent nonprofit arts organizations, the Florida Theatre and Theatre Jacksonville, are producing the classic Broadway musical “in concert” A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum for two performances sponsored by Michael Ward & Jennifer Glock at the historic Florida Theatre on Saturday, August 23th at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, August 24th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m.

The full cast has been announced for Talene Monahon’s MEET THE CARTOZIANS, directed by Tony Award-winner David Cromer. The world premiere production kicks off Second Stage Theater’s  47th Season. We have all of the details here!

Following its acclaimed, sold-out runs in Chicago and LA, the smash-hit musical comedy 44 -THE MUSICAL returns to Chicago for a second term, playing at The Studebaker Theater in the historic Fine Arts Building, August 23 – September 21, 2025.

Whether you’re a film buff, a Dion stan, or just craving a night of pure fun, this off-Broadway transplant will have you laughing, crying, and belting out “My Heart Will Go On” long after the curtain falls.

This is a production that falls into the above average category but not yet a 'great' achievement. It tries to do a little too much and falls short in some of the storytelling, despite having a real sense of heart and commitment. A lot of imagination, love and money has gone into this, with great video work and powerful dancing, but the orchestrations didn't work for me.

The Orchard Project has announced the teams and artists selected to participate in its 2025 Summer Labs in Saratoga Springs, NY. Fifteen teams are creating new theatrical work in The Orchard Project's hallmark Performance Lab; eight are developing television shows in its Episodic Lab; four are creating new podcasts in its Audio Lab; and nine multidisciplinary artists are developing new work in the Greenhouse Lab.
