The Marsh, acclaimed as a premier venue for solo shows and new works, welcomes a collaboration between lauded playwright Lynne Kaufman and award-winning director Robert Kelley with Two Minds. Returning to The Marsh after her hit run of Acid Test: The Many Incarnations of Ram Dass, Kaufman's new drama re-envisions the relationship between two men who changed the way people think. Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky's groundbreaking research on how people make decisions won the brilliant Israeli psychologists a Nobel Prize and a McArthur Genius Award. The pair was intellectually so aligned they could finish each other's sentences, but emotionally their differences tore them apart. Two Minds weaves together the story of their unique partnership as well as their troubled friendship.

REPRISE 2.0 is now announced, presenting a season of three classic American musicals at UCLA's Freud Playhouse, by Marcia Seligson, Producing Artistic Director of the new performing arts organization.  REPRISE 2.0 is partnering with the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television's Department of Theater (UCLA TFT), chaired by Brian Kite. 

Broadway Legend Patti LuPone To Guest Star On CBS Comedy MOM

According to Entertainment Weekly, Patti LuPone will guest star in upcoming episode of MOM on CBS. LuPone will play Rita, the (demanding) new owner of the building that is managed by Bonnie (Allison Janney). Rita is a bit of a live wire: Freshly divorced, she's either barking orders or sharing way too much about her personal life. LuPone's episode will air in April.

Signature Theatre announces the full cast and creative team for the DC premiere of Annie Baker's John, directed by Signature Theatre Director of New Work Joe Calarco (Signature's The Gulf, Jesus Christ Superstar). Elias and Jenny, a young Brooklyn couple, escape on a much-needed getaway to a cozy bed-and-breakfast in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. However, under the watchful eye of the cheery, if slightly off, innkeeper, a ghost seems to haunt their crumbling relationship. Annie Baker's John was called "so good on so many levels that it casts a unique and brilliant light' by The New Yorker. John will run April 3 - April 29 in Signature Theatre's MAX Theatre.

Multiple sources have revealed a starry cast for the upcoming West End production of Chess at London's Coliseum. The cast is said to include Michael Ball (The Russian), Alexandra Burke (Svetlana), Murray Head (The Arbiter), Tim Howar (The American) and Cassidy Janson (Florence).

John Doyle Will Helm World Premiere of AUGUST RUSH at Washington DC's Signature Theatre

Signature Theatre has announced the world premiere production of the new musical August Rush. The musical, adapted from the Oscar and GRAMMY Award-nominated film, features music and lyrics by Mark Mancina, book and lyrics by Glen Berger, and orchestrations and additional music by David Metzger. This premiere production will be directed by John Doyle. August Rush will run from February 5, 2019 - March 3, 2019 in Signature Theatre's MAX Theatre. The production will then transfer to Paramount Theatre in Aurora, Illinois and will run from April 24, 2019 - June 2, 2019.

HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL Opens February 9th in Downtown Glendale

The Brelby Theatre Company located in Historic Downtown Glendale, is bringing this dark musical comedy to life this February. Based on the 1989 cult classic film of the same name, Westerberg High is ruled by a shoulder-padded, scrunchie-wearing junta: Heather, Heather, and Heather, the hottest and cruelest girls in all of Ohio. But misfit Veronica Sawyer rejects their evil regime for a new boyfriend, the dark and sexy stranger J.D., who plans to put the Heathers in their place - six feet under.
