Jeffry Denman will reprise his role as Phil Davis, which he played to critical acclaim on Broadway, Joey Sorge will play Bob Wallace, Kate Loprest debuts as Betty Haynes, and Vanessa Sonon plays Judy Haynes in this heartwarming musical adaptation that features the book by David Ives and Paul Blake and seventeen Irving Berlin songs including 'Blue Skies,' 'Sisters,' 'Count Your Blessings,' and the perennial favorite, 'White Christmas.'

North Carolina Theatre, the region's premiere nonprofit professional regional theatre producing Broadway musical revivals, is thrilled to announce Broadway couple Hunter Foster and Jennifer Cody will lead the February 2016 production of Grease as Director and Choreographer respectively.  The power couple starred together in the 1994 Tony®-nominated Broadway revival of Grease for several years, during which the two were married.  NC Theatre's production of Grease runs February 9-14, 2016 in Raleigh Memorial Auditorium at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.

The Off-Broadway cast recording of the new Bock and Harnick musical, Rothschild & Sons, an intimate reimagining of the Tony nominated musical The Rothschilds, will be recorded and released by JAY Records.  Produced by John Yap, the recording will feature the original cast of The York Theatre Company production who will gather at The Avatar Studios on Monday, October 26, 2015 to lay down the tracks for the recording scheduled for release on JAY Records in early January.  Executive Producers are John Yap and Arnold Mittelman.

I had a chance to speak with Hunter Foster who is directing this musical and who will also direct BCP's next production, COMPANY. I spoke with Foster about NATIONAL PASTIME and what audiences can expect, as well as his returning to Bucks County Playhouse for a third year in row.

Amphibian Stage Productions opens its final staged reading of the 2014 season, A Public Reading of an Unproduced Screenplay About the Death of Walt Disney by Lucas Hnath, this Sunday, kicking off a two-performance run of the play.
