Irish Repertory Theatre (Charlotte Moore, Artistic Director and Ciarán O'Reilly, Producing Director) is proud to announce a one-week extension of the World Premiere of Kingfishers Catch Fire, by Robin Glendinning (Jennifer's Holiday), directed by Kent Paul (Lost in Yonkers). Kingfishers Catch Fire began performances in the W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre on September 11, 2019, and opened September 22. Originally scheduled for a limited run through October 20, the production will now run through October 27, 2019.

DC's electro-pop breakout trio SHAED has announced a North American fall headline tour as they continue to gear up for their debut LP – due out later this year on Photo Finish Records. The band's hit single “Trampoline” became a GOLD-selling track in the U.S. this week following its two-week stay as the #1 Alternative Song in the country.  The track broke onto Billboard's Hot 100 last week (up 10 spots to #89 this week), holds the #2position on Rock Airplay, and continues to climb at Top 40, HOT AC, and AAA.  In a recentChart Beat feature, Billboard highlighted that “Trampoline” was the first female-fronted band in 16 years to take the #1 spot at Alternative (21 years since Hole's “Celebrity Skin” if you count songs with female-only vocals).

The Capitol Steps began in 1981, at a Christmas party in the office of former Senator Charles Percy. Like most things in Congress, they never knew when to stop. Over the past 35 years, the Capitol Steps have recorded 36 albums. The group brings its political musical comedy to stages in Washington, D.C. and around the country. The shows constantly change based on that week's political scandals, but some songs that could appear in this performance are Oops I Tweeted Again, Don't Think Twice, Its Alt-Right, Faking News is Hard to do, Impeachable You and Fiscal Shades of Gray.

On The Quays, a New York City based production company aimed at producing works that promote inclusivity, has announced it will present the world premiere production of Gary Duggan's STOP/OVER, a swift new play about rekindled friendship, as part of the 2018 Dublin Fringe Festival. Universal Pictures Home Entertainment Content Group has purchased North American rights to Hannah Fidell's road trip comedy “THE LONG DUMB ROAD”, which made its world premiere at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. Directed by Fidell and co-written by Fidell and Carson Mell, the film stars Tony Revolori, Jason Mantzoukas, Taissa Farmiga, Grace Gummer, and Ron Livingston, and is produced by Fidell, Jacqueline Ingram, Jonathan Duffy and Kelly Williams.
