On Tuesday, October 18, international and #1 New York Times bestselling author John Irving visits The Music Hall's virtual stage as part of the Writers on a New England Stage series, presented in an intimate, online format. He will discuss his first book in seven years, THE LAST CHAIRLIFT, which follows Adam, the son of former skier Rachel “Little Ray” Brewster, as he travels to Aspen looking for answers to the eventful past his family evades.

New Opera BOTH EYES OPEN to Premiere at the Presidio Theatre Performing Arts Center

First Look Sonoma, Paul Dresher Ensemble, and Presidio Theatre Performing Arts Center will present the world premiere in San Francisco of a new opera, Both Eyes Open, by composer, Max Giteck Duykers and librettist, Philip Kan Gotanda. Directed by Melissa Weaver and conducted by Benjamin Makino. An open dress rehearsal/preview is set for Friday, June 24, 2022 at 2:00pm, while the show premieres on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 8:00pm and Sunday June 26, 2022 at 7:00 pm. All performances take place at the Presidio Theatre Performing Arts Center, 99 Moraga Avenue, San Francisco, California, in Presidio National Park. 

Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival Announces 2022 Season

The 17th Annual Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival has announced its September program titled Tutti Frutti Tennessee Williams.  The 2022 roster will feature six plays by Tennessee Williams, the first time the Festival will feature an All-Williams lineup since their first year in 2006.

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts announced that the North American tour of Lincoln Center Theater’s critically acclaimed production of Lerner & Loewe’s MY FAIR LADY is coming as a part of its 2021/2022 Kravis On Broadway season.  Directed by Bartlett Sher, the North American tour will play the Kravis Center from April 19 – 24.
