In its twelve years of existence Project Spotlight, the only student developmental theater organization at the University of Central Florida has finally branched out and created a full-length musical. After five UK tours the original British musical, Miss Nightingale by Matthew Bugg, finally enjoys an extended London run six years after a small-scale production of the show was first seen in the capital. Miss Nightingale the musical transfers to The Vaults for an eight-week residency from 30 March to 20 May.

Chay Yew's frank drama, Question 27, Question 28 will be presented by Artists at Play and the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center in conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the signing of Executive Order 9066. In Prague Shakespeare Company's MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, set in World War II Britain, a group of nurses, wounded servicemen and patriots produce a radio broadcast of the Bard's classic to raise morale of the troops on the front. Main Street Theater brings this novel interpretation of the William Shakespeare comedy to its Rice Village location from December 31 to January 15, 2017.

Main Street Theater (MST) continues its partnership with Prague Shakespeare Company (PSC) in presenting PSC's Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare, directed by Guy Roberts, Artistic Director of Prague Shakespeare Company and native Houstonian.  This production premiered in Prague in 2015 and instantly became one of the most successful productions of PSC's history, garnering international attention.  The company played Much Ado… (and its production of Macbeth) in Egypt at the historic Library of Alexandria as part of their 2016 Shakespeare Birthday celebration.  'We are so delighted Rebecca Greene Udden has asked Prague Shakespeare Company to return to Main Street with our production of Much Ado About Nothing,' says Roberts.  MST and PSC have been partners and collaborators since 2012.
