Austin-based, Latin pop songstress Gina Chavez is thrilled to announce the forthcoming release of her EP 'Lightbeam' on Today, Sept. 14. The official EP release party will take place at the Seventh Annual Niñas Arriba Benefit Concert on Saturday, Sept. 15 at Antone's located at 305 E. Fifth St, Austin, Texas 78701. The concert will also feature performances by local powerhouses Carrie Rodriguez and Jane Ellen Bryantand will benefit Niñas Arriba, a college fund that Chavez co-founded for young Latinas in a gang-dominated suburb of San Salvador, El Salvador. This year's concert will also celebrate Niñas Arriba's first four college graduates with 100 percent of the proceeds supporting the program. Doors are at 7 p.m. General admission tickets to the show are $17 and VIP tickets are $50. As the kick-off to this year's highly anticipated “2018 American Music Awards,” chart-topping artists Kane Brown and Ella Mai, singer and American Music Award winner Normani and award winning singer/songwriter Bebe Rexha today announced the nominations LIVE from YouTube Space LA.  The event was livestreamed on the official American Music Awards YouTube channel (YouTube.com/TheAMAs) and included a panel discussion about the nominations with the presenting talent and Billboard correspondent Chelsea Briggs. Hosted by Tracee Ellis Ross, the “2018 American Music Awards” will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 9 at 8:00pm ET on ABC. 

Solo performers from six continents will once again unite in the heart of New York's theatre district. Over 130 productions will be presented at this year's United Solo, the largest festival of its kind in the world, now in its 9th year. With up to five performances every day until November 18 at Theatre Row, this year's robust selection of one-person shows will attract thousands of theatregoers. Over 25 performances have sold out in advance, with more expected to follow. The festival will grant additional performance dates to its most popular productions. This year, United Solo also offers Master Classes with world-famous theatre creators and recognized experts, including Oscar-winning actress Olympia Dukakis, who will give her Master Class hosted by Omar Sangare, founder and artistic director of United Solo, on September 16, and Juilliard School professor Janis Brenner, whose Master Class is scheduled for September 17.

AMC today announced “The Little Drummer Girl,” will premiere in the U.S. as a must-watch, three-night television event with a two-hour episode on November 19 at 9:00 P.M. ET/PT. Additional two-hour episodes will air on consecutive nights at 9:00 P.M. ET/PT on November 20 and November 21.

ABC News' “Nightline” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (1.216 million) during the week of Aug. 6, 2018, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. Taking the top spot for the 2nd straight week, “Nightline” beat CBS' “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (1.126 million) by 90,000 and NBC's “Late Night with Seth Meyers” (1.155 million) by 61,000.

Ma-Yi Theater Company - which has had a breakout season with the award-winning success of the musical KPOP, and recently with Mike Lew's new play TEENAGE DICK (at The Public Theater) - announces its 2018-19 season of new works, according to the company's Producing Artistic Director, Ralph B. Peña.  Among the offerings will be world-premieres of plays that have been created and developed through Ma-Yi's celebrated Writers Lab, which has the distinction of being a primary incubator of new Asian American theater and the largest collective of Asian-American playwrights in the world. 

Living Over The Rainbow is a new musical based on a true story that made national headlines in 2008 when a young gay teenager, Lawrence King, was murdered by a fellow classmate at his high school in Oxnard, California. The circumstances of his death and the issues brought to light by it have now been made into a heartfelt and inspirational musical about acceptance and finding peace crafted by Roz Esposito.
