Atlanta professional theatre artists, producers and patrons gather to celebrate the 2017-2018 season of plays and musicals at the 14th Annual Suzi Bass Awards on Monday, November 5, 2018, at 7pm, doors open at 6pm.  The event is being held at the Conant Performing Arts Center at Oglethorpe University, 4484 Peachtree Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30319.

This season, Harvey Fierstein's seminal Broadway classic, Torch Song has made its way back to Broadway 36 years after its original run, in a brand-new production.

Beetlebung Road LLC, a new theater production company, will launch November 15 to December 9 with a bi-coastal production of Sam Shepard's 'Fool for Love,' to be presented November 15 to December 2 by Theater for the New City, 155 First Ave., Manhattan and December 6 to 9 by The Lounge Theatre, 6201 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles.  The production, directed by Kymberly Harris, will arise from a careful artistic process of immersion on many levels.  The company chose to debut at Theater for the New City (TNC) as part of that process: to honor and recapture the path of Shepard's 'Buried Child,' which was commissioned by TNC and premiered there in 1978.

With Spamilton: An American Parody currently running at the theatre, the Menier Chocolate Factory today announces full casting for their major revival of Hugh Whitemore's Pack of Lies. Hannah Chissick directs Jasper Britton as (Stewart), Sia Dauda (Sally), Alasdair Harvey (Peter Kroger), Chris Larkin (Bob Jackson), Macy Nyman (Julie Jackson), Tracy-Ann Oberman (Helen Kroger), Natalie Walter (Thelma) and Finty Williams (Barbara Jackson). The production opens on 1 October, with previews from 20 September, and runs until 17 November.

ELECTRICITY, the hit LGBTQ comedy/drama begins it's second year in Palm Springs, after celebrating it's one-year anniversary in August. The critically-acclaimed production of ELECTRICITY, a new American play written and starring TERRY RAY ("My Sister is So Gay") and co-starring MEL ENGLAND ("Best Day Ever"), moved to Palm Springs after a run in Los Angeles, and has also played in cities across the country.

Telluride Film Festival, presented by the National Film Preserve, today announced its official program selections for the 45th edition of the Telluride Film Festival. TFF's celebration of artistic excellence brings together cinema enthusiasts, filmmakers and artists to discover the best in world cinema in the beautiful mountain town of Telluride, Colorado.
