Review: I HATE HAMLET at Ghostlight Theatre
by Cheyenne Lewis - Dec 6, 2025

One of the most difficult decisions an actor can face is the choice between financial gain and artistic integrity. When you add the paranormal haunting from a previous actor who played Hamlet, that choice becomes even harder. Ghostlight Theatre’s production of I HATE HAMLET is a quirky but insightful look into the challenges many actors face.

Review: A Sleek, Sharp, and Sexy AMERICAN PSYCHO at Theater West End
by Drew Eberhard - Oct 27, 2025

In 1991, American Novelist Bret Easton Ellis published the highly controversial novel American Psycho. Through the story, we dive headfirst into a greed, lust, and ego-filled world told through the eyes of Patrick Bateman. A man so narcissistic, so label-driven, money hungry, and at the root of it all the depths of his humanity lie in a blood lust. Sure, he dates, he sleeps around, and is sometimes very graphic regarding his escapades, but at the root of his very being, he can’t feel. He shows no emotion, claims to never have fallen in love, and yet what is it that drives him?

Review: THIS LITTLE EARTH, Arcola Theatre
by Cindy Marcolina - Oct 25, 2025

For her debut, playwright Jessica Norman leans into the singular speculation that “the people in power” keep us humble citizens from the truth. It’s fascinating stuff. Long-listed for the Women’s Prize for Playwriting and directed by Imy Wyatt Corner, This Little Earth is a thin exploration of the debris of grief at a time where reality flickers. It’s alright, but it could be so much more.

Keaton joined the cast for the Broadway run, originating her track in the show.

Review: Lea Salonga Brings STAGE, SCREEN & EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN to Benaroya Hall
by Shelley Dean - Oct 13, 2025

There’s truly no feeling quite like being in the presence of a legend. As the live band launched into an overture stitched together from the greatest hits of a long and decorated career, it became instantly clear that Benaroya Hall was packed wall-to-wall with devoted fans of Filipino icon Lea Salonga. The Seattle stop of her Stage, Screen & Everything In Between tour crackled with energy. It was electric, joyful, and, as Salonga herself noted with a laugh, impressively rowdy.

Interview: Steve Hackett of GENESIS GREATS, LAMB HIGHLIGHTS & SOLO WORKS” at Southern Theatre
by Paul Batterson - Sep 21, 2025

Perhaps no one is more surprised Steve Hackett is doing a retrospective on THE LAMB 50 years after the fact than the guitarist himself. THE LAMB was ranked in the top ten of Rolling Stone magazine’s top 50 progressive rock albums of all time. The BBC called it a “conceptual masterpiece.” Hackett has another word for it: an anomaly.

Review: GRACE AND GLORIE at Black Theatre Troupe
by Herbert Paine - Sep 9, 2025

The emotional terrain is fertile, but in Black Theatre Troupe’s 56th-season opener, GRACE AND GLORIE, the production comes close but not quite far enough to capture the fullness and weight that popularized the work.

Review: AMERICAN PSYCHO THE MUSICAL at HOUSTON BROADWAY THEATRE
by Brett Cullum - Sep 8, 2025

Broadway, film, and television star Robert Lenzi (THE HAPPENING and THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL) is Patrick Bateman for this Houston run. He plays Patrick as an apex predator, but one that surprisingly gets lonely or feels isolated. There is not just the cold killer, but also a sense of what’s killing him.
