Philharmonic Of Southern New Jersey Names James Allen Anderson As Music Director

The PHILHARMONIC OF SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY (PSNJ) has announced that conductor James Allen Anderson has been appointed Music Director beginning with the 2023-2024 season. His appointment concludes a three-year search process that included seventy-five applicants from across the country.

Patrick Flick, Executive Director of the Shakespeare Theatre Association (STA) and Mark Edelman, founder and president of Theater League, Inc, a Kansas City, Missouri based contributor to the performing arts, announced today that the League will be gifting thirty-five Shakespeare Theatres across the United States and internationally with a grant of $255,000 in general operating support.

Sarasota Opera has announced the lineup for the 2023 Summer Classic Movies at the Opera House. The Classic Movies at the Opera House series featuring many beloved movies will open on Friday, May 12th at 7:30 pm with 2001: A Space Odyssey. Throughout the summer and into the fall, featured movies will include films ranging from the 1930's to the 1990's. Tickets will be $12 and will go on sale starting on Wednesday, May 3.
