This season features a remarkable selection of plays, but starts its season with a spectacular reimagining of the operaCarmen with Carmen Jones, music by George Bizet, book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, followed by Patrick Barlow’s imaginative take on the timeless A Christmas Carol, then the Off-Broadway hit Selling Kabul, Lucy Kirkwood’s thought-provoking The Children, and ETC will close its season with an absolutely delicious play from acclaimed playwright Theresa Rebeck, Seared. 

Tacoma Little Theatre has announced their 104th Season of theatre beginning this September. TLT is calling this season “SOMETHING TO CAPTIVATE EVERYONE”. It brings some audience favorites back to the stage, along with some shows brand new to TLT and the Northwest. The season will include the following seven productions.

What did our critic think of BWW REVIEWS: OTTERBEIN’S PIRATES OF PENZANCE at Cowen Hall? Otterbein University offers a much-needed refresher course in Gilbert and Sullivan with its presentation of THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE for its final production of the summer season. The two-act comedic musical closes this week with shows on July 14-16 at Cowan Hall (30 S. Grove Street in Westerville). Directed by Lenny Leibowitz and produced by T.J. Gerckens, the show features a whimsical plot with outlandish lyrics, outstanding performances, and spectacular costuming and music orchestration.

It has won numerous awards and became the unofficial soundtrack to a generation whose voice was begging to be heard… And now, RENT will take the stage at The Carnegie this June and will run through August. Performances will take place July 16 through August 26.
