The American Theatre as seen by Hirschfeld 1962-2002 showcases Hirschfeld’s greatest theater work from five decades, including some of the most important productions from the last sixty years. It will be available exclusively online and at The Museum of Broadway starting November 15.

California Shakespeare Theater’s Board of Directors announced that Managing Director Sarah Williams will depart the Bay Area non-profit theater organization following three years at the helm. Souls Grown Deep Foundation and Community Partnership (SGD) today announced its fall 2022 initiatives, featuring a significant exhibition of recent acquisitions from the Foundation by the National Gallery of Art, as well as the inaugural Gee's Bend Airing of the Quilts Festival inviting the public to celebrate the quilting tradition and support local artists.

The People We Hate at the Wedding, starring Allison Janney, Kristen Bell, Ben Platt, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Karan Soni, Dustin Milligan, Tony Goldwyn, Isaach De Bankolé, Jorma Taccone, Julian Ovenden, and John Macmillan will be released on Prime Video on November 18, 2022. 

The Canadian heavy alt-rock duo cleopatrick have released the riff-heavy and quick-witted single “OK. 'Self-produced by the band and mixed by hip hop beat maker/producer/rapper Jonwayne, “OK” was produced from the back of the cleopatrick’s tour van during the band’s North American tour with Royal Blood and their recent Canadian festival dates.

Second Stage Theater will kick off its 44th Season with the New York Premiere of CAMP SIEGFRIED, the new play from Tony Award-nominee BESS WOHL, directed by Tony Award-winner DAVID CROMER. The production will feature SAWYER BARTH and LILY McINERNY, both of whom will be making their off-Broadway stage debuts.

Jesse L. Martin is known for his Tony-winning role as Tom Collins on Broadway in Rent. He reprised his role in the 2005 feature film adaptation. Martin also starred on NBC's Law & Order for nine seasons. He just completed his eight-year run on The Flash, where he played detective Joe West, and recently wrapped filming NBC’s pilot Irrational.

Jobsite Theater, resident theater company at the Straz Center, is thrilled will kick off its 24th season with this hilarious comedy from the original “wild and crazy guy,” Steve Martin.

Austin’s oldest film festival and premiere LGBTQ+ film fest of the Southwest, aGLIFF announced the Opening Night and five additional films for the 35th annual festival PRISM 35 taking place in-person August 24–28, 2022 in Austin. BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present the return of Karen Mason – honoring her three-decade collaboration with music director Christopher Denny in the new show “30… And Counting” – on Monday, August 8 at 7:00 PM.

The Seasonal Sessions program of original Australian music, cabaret, story, and comedy at Woodville Town Hall returns on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 August.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley announced its 52nd season, featuring six plays and musicals to be presented November 2022 through August 2023. Three of the season's productions will be mounted at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts, and three will be staged at Palo Alto's Lucie Stern Theatre.
