New Focus Recordings today releases composer Michael Hersch's the script of storms. The album (digital only) features two works by Hersch: cortex and ankle based on texts by Christopher Middleton, and the script of storms based on texts by Fawzi Karim.

In the staging of 13 at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, the kids are more-than-allright; occasionally a little rough around the edges, but so is this musical. Second Stage Theater will kick off its 44th Season with the New York Premiere of CAMP SIEGFRIED, the new play from Tony Award-nominee BESS WOHL, directed by Tony Award-winner DAVID CROMER. The production will feature SAWYER BARTH and LILY McINERNY, both of whom will be making their off-Broadway stage debuts.

Ella Fitzgerald Sings The Irving Berlin Songbook, The First Lady Of Song performed selections from that album live at the Hollywood Bowl. Conducted and arranged by Paul Weston, who also arranged and conducted the studio sessions, this concert marked the only time that Ella performed these iconic arrangements live with a full orchestra.
