Eric Bogosian’s 1 +1, a new play, will have its off-Broadway premiere at SoHo Playhouse. Performances begin February 23 and run through March 19. Opening night is set for February 27.

Internationally acclaimed pianist Brian Ganz celebrates his 12th annual concert in his quest to perform the complete works of Frédéric Chopin with “An Evening of Chopin's Chamber Music with Brian Ganz and Friends” at The Music Center at Strathmore at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023.

It's certainly the happy sort of show you can sit through multiple times, and I know I enjoyed seeing what was kept from last year's production and what was new.

Puscifer continue their series of album-by-album remix collections, releasing Existential Reckoning: Re-Wired. A video for “A Singularity (Re-Imagined by Carina Round),” shot and edited by Maynard James Keenan, was released this morning. ​​​​​​​Steppenwolf Theatre Company today mourns the loss of longtime ensemble member, actor, director and adaptor Frank Galati, who died Monday evening in Florida at the age of 79. Galati, who joined the Steppenwolf ensemble in 1985, won two Tony Awards in 1990 for his adaptation and direction of Steppenwolf's pivotal production of The Grapes of Wrath on Broadway.

Frank Kimbrough 2003-2006 brings together 2003’s Lullabluebye, featuring longtime collaborators Ben Allison (bass) and Matt Wilson (drums); and the 2005 follow-up, Play, boasting a new trio with the then relatively unknown bassist Masa Kamaguchi alongside legendary drummer Paul Motian.

The Drowsy Chaperone is a musical comedy, about a musical within a comedy, featuring music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison. With a book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar, this musical tells the story of a fictional 1928 musical. The story itself centers around a character, 'Man in Chair,' as he describes to the audience his trepidations in life and this overwhelming feeling of sadness and foreboding which he calls 'Blue.' So over the course of two hours the 'Man in Chair,' takes the audience on a journey using the only thing he knows that will cheer him up, his love of Musical Theatre tunes, specifically classics such as The Drowsy Chaperone.
